Outreach Services
Our Outreach Services provide ongoing support to women who have moved on to the Reading area and further afield.
We believe that transitions are important and the support a woman receives from Elizabeth Fry House should not stop once they move on.
We know it can be hard finding your feet in the community once women have left the structure and support of the House and offer ongoing support to all women moving on.
All residents of Elizabeth Fry House who are moving on to the Reading area will be able to access Outreach Support.
Support for residents staying in Reading
For women moving on to the Reading area, our Outreach Worker will be available to support you access other services and attend appointments in the community, to find activities that interest you, to help you through challenges and provide a friendly face to meet for a coffee and chat.
Outreach Services are available to ex-residents for approximately six months, although this can be longer or shorter depending on the individual.
Without Julia I would not have been able to go to important appointments such as assessments and doctors. I feel very supported and have never received this amount of support before on release.

Support for residents moving away
Women moving on outside of the Reading area are offered ongoing telephone contact with our Housing and Link Worker.
We know how important it can be to have someone to call when things are not going well, or you are facing a problem or difficult situation and it can help to talk to someone you know.
It goes without saying that we also love to hear from women when things are going well as well!
